RENO, Nev.- The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Wolfpack Invitational on Monday. Utah is in fifth with a team score of three-under-par, 573 (288-285). The Utes were led by Garrett Clegg who shot a seven-under-par, 137 (69-68). Clegg is only two-strokes off of the individual lead and is currently third on the leaderboard.
Casey Fowles is at one-under and in 19th with his two-round 143 (72-71). Luke Swilor shot a first round 70 but followed it up with a 76 in the second round to leave him at two-over and in 41st. Carl Jensen shot a six-over, 150 (79-71) and Steve Newren added an eight-over, 152 (77-75), for the Utes.
The final round of competition will tee off on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Wolf Run Golf Course.
