COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- - The University of Utah golf team moved into third place at the Falcon Invitational on Saturday, with a team score of even-par, 576 (289-287), after two rounds. Leading the way for the Utes is Luke Swilor who is at five-under, 139 (71-68). Swilor's second round of 68 helped him into a tie for second individually.
Garrett Clegg is in 13th at even-par, 144 (72-72), while Carl Jensen is in 27th with a score of three-over, 147 (72-75). The other Utes competing are Ashdon Woods who is at four-over, 148 (74-74) and Steve Newren who finished the second round with a score of six-over, 150 (77-73).
Utah jumped from fourth to third after the second round and is nine-strokes behind the New Mexico JV team for the tournament lead. Swilor is only two-strokes off the individual lead.
