COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- - The University of Utah men's golf team opened the first round of the Falcon Invitational on Friday. Utah shot a team score of one-over-par, 289, leaving them in fourth place, seven-strokes behind the leader, Texas-San Antonio. Leading the way for the Utes is Luke Swilor who shot a one-under, 71 and is currently in seventh place.
Other Utes competing include Garrett Clegg and Carl Jensen, each shot a even-par, 72, tying them for 14th. Ashdon Woods is in 43rd at two-over and Steve Newren added a five-over first round.
Utah will tee off for the second of three rounds on Saturday at the Eisenhower-Blue Course.
