COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Dustin Pimm carded a six-under 66 in Sunday's final round, and the University of Utah moved up two slots to finish sixth in the final standings. Pimm fired rounds of 73 and 75 to open play before recording his lowest round since winning the Wolf Pack Classic last October. Ryan Spears of Wichita State was the tournament medalist at 13-under-par.
"Dustin kept our team in it today," said head coach Randall McCracken. "We'll have a couple days this week to work really hard and try to get better."
All six Ute golfers finished within the top 50. Chris Gresh finished tied for 29th at three-over-par and Steven Broker (competing as an individual) finished tied for 32nd at five-over. Iowa State edged Wichita State in a playoff for the team title, finishing at 12-under-par.
