CORVALLIS, Ore. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first day of the Pac-12 Championships Friday at the Trysting Tree Golf Club, tallying a two-round total of 764 (382-382) to place 12th. Freshman Myles Sullivan was the top Ute finisher of the day in individual standings, tying for 37th with a mark of 149 (76-73).
Fellow freshman Gentry Hicks was next to finish on Utah's roster, posting a score of 150 (78-72) to tie for 42nd. Sophomore Daniel Engle tied for 54th with a mark of 152 (74-78). Freshman Brandon Kida swung a 153 (75-78) to tie for 57th. Sophomore Ben Bankhead placed 71st with a mark of 162 (79-83), while junior Joe Webber round out the Ute roster, posting a score of 163 (82-81) to place 72nd.
The Utes return to the Trysting Tree Golf Club Saturday at 9 a.m. for the third round of the Pac-12 Championship tournament.
