SUNRIVER, Ore. - Chris Gresh shot a one-over 73 in the first round of the Mountain West Conference Championships to finish the first day tied for 15th. As a team, Utah shot a 25-over 313 to currently sit in eighth place.
Senior Nick Micek shot a five-over 77 in the first round to currently sit tied for 32nd overall. Sophomore Dustin Pimm carded a seven-over 79 in the first round to finish the first day tied for 35th.
Freshman Mike Branca and Chance Cota both finished the first round tied for 43rd after shooting a 12-over 84 on the day.
