SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The University of Utah recorded its best finish of the spring season Tuesday at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, finishing second by one stroke to UC Davis. The Utes, who tied with UC Santa Barbara for second place, placed in the top five for the third straight tournament.

"We had a pretty good finish, you've got to be happy with second," head coach Randall McCracken said. "Hopefully this will give us momentum heading into next week."

Utah was led by juniors Dustin Pimm and Chris Gresh, who finished tied for fifth with a score of one-under-par. Nicholas Larson (t-25, three-over-par) and Steven Broker (t-27, four-over-par) also played well for the Utes.

Utah will next travel to Provo, Utah, to compete in the Cougar Classic, April 20-21.
