SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Dustin Pimm shot a three-over 73 in the first round and a two-over 72 in the second round of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic to lead the Utes with a score of 145 (+5). Pimm is tied for 48th entering the final round of the tournament at the 70-par Talking Stick Golf Club. The final 18 holes will be played tomorrow starting at 8 a.m.

As a team, Utah shot a 35-over 595 in the first two rounds to sit in 19th place entering the final round. The team shot a 296 (+16) in the first round, followed by a 299 (+19) in the second round.

Sophomore Chris Gresh carded a two-over 72 in the first round before finishing the day with a five-over 75. Gresh is tied for 60th at seven-over par. Senior Nick Micek tallied a 74 (+4) and a 75 (+5) in the first two rounds, respectively, to finish with a nine-over 149. Micek is currently tied for 78th entering the final round of play.

Freshman Mike Branca scored a 78 (+8) in the first round, followed by a 77 (+7) in the second round to finish the day tied for 99th after carding a 15-over 155. Fellow freshman Chance Cota carded a seven-over 77 in the first round, but slipped in the final round with a 14-over 84. Cota finished the day tied for 108th.
