Lampoc, Calif. - The University of Utah golf team completed the first two rounds of competition at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate on Monday. Utah sits in ninth place with a team score of 33-over-par, 609 (309-300). The Utes were led by Luke Swilor who shot a two round score of four-over-par (148). Swilor put together consecutive rounds of 74 and is in 21st place individually.
Garrett Clegg and Ashdon Woods are tied in 55th at 11-over. Clegg put up rounds of 77 and 78, while Woods shot a first round 70 only to struggle in the second round, shooting an 85. Casey Fowles sits at 12-over, 156 (79-77) and Carl Jensen shot a 167 (87-80) to round out the day for the Utes.
UC Davis and CSU Northridge are tied for the team lead at five-over, 581. Pete Sisich of CSU Northridge is the individual leader at five-under.
The final round of competition will be held on Tuesday, April 6, at the La Purisima Golf Course.
