Chance Cota leads Utes in tie for 15th place

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team slipped from seventh to eighth on the second of three days at the Ron Moore Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The University of San Diego followed up Friday's 277 with a 278. USD's two-day total of 555 strokes leaves the Torero's in first place, three strokes in front of Kansas State. Utah has carded two consecutive rounds of 285, giving them a two-day total of 569. The Utes are 14 strokes off the lead.
Utah's Chance Cota is tied for 15th individually in the tournament. He was four-under Friday and tallied an even par 72 Saturday. Chris Gresh had Saturday's best round for Utah, tallying a three-under 69. He is currently tied for 44th. Dustin Pimm is tied for 36th place with a 145 total after shooting a one-over par 73 Saturday.
Nic Larson is also tied for 36th. He shot a 71 Saturday, after carding a 74 Friday. Steve Broker is tied for 57th for the Utes. He was one-under Friday, but struggled to a five-over 77 Saturday.
The final round of the Ron Moore Invitational is slated for Sunday in Goodyear, Ariz.
