SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Utah golf team currently sits in 12th after two rounds of play at the San Diego Country Club. The Utes logged a twenty-over par 308 in round one, but came back strong in round two with a 301.
Junior Daniel Engle is currently tied for 18th, with a two-round total of three-over par 147 (75-72).
Sophomores Gentry Hicks and Brandon Kida each posted a 77 in round one and a 76 in round two for a first day total of 153. Freshman Jonathon Thomas carded a 158 (81-77), while junior Casey Halliday struggled to a 159 (79-80).
The final round of play will be completed on Tuesday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. PST.
