Football Closes Season at Colorado on Friday

> Utah (4-7, 2-6 Pac-12) concludes its 2012 season at Colorado (1-10, 1-7 Pac-12) on Friday, Nov. 23 in Boulder, Colo. Kickoff is 1:00 p.m. MST at Folsom Field. The game will be televised on FX. > In this game a year ago, Colorado cost Utah a berth in the first Pac-12 Championship game by upsetting the Utes 17-14 in Salt Lake City.

> For the first time in a decade, the Utes will not be bowl eligible. Utah is 8-1 in bowl games since 2003, including the first seven years of Kyle Whittingham's tenure as head coach.

> The Utes are 0-5 on the road this season. Utah's last road win was at Washington State on Nov. 19, 2011.

> Utah's 58 games against Colorado is its most against a Pac-12 school and the fifth-most against any opponent. Colorado leads the series 31-24-3 overall and 15-10-1 in Boulder. > John White will attempt to become the first player in Utah history to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons. White needs 127 yards this week against Colorado to reach 1,000 yards. He rushed for a school-record 1,519 yards last year.

This Friday's game is only the third day game of the season for Utah, which is 1-1 in afternoon kickoffs ... Utah does not have any Colorado natives on its roster, but two former Utes play for the Denver Broncos: Zane Beadles, a third-year starting offensive guard, and Sealver Siliga, a first-year defensive tackle ... The Utes are 3-0 in games they have led at halftime and 1-0 when they are tied at the half. They are 0-7 in games when they've trailed at the half ... The Utes are 0-2 on natural grass ... Quarters in which the Utes are outscoring their opponents are the second (90-72) and third (73-30). Utah has scored 278 total points (25.3 per game) to its foes' 266 points (24.2 average).

IN THE HUDDLE

Twenty-five seniors will suit up for their last game as Utes this Friday... Sean Sellwood has broken the school record for 50+ punts in a career, booting his 51st last week against Arizona. Forty-two percent (15-of-36) of his punts have sailed 50 yards or longer ... Four true freshmen have played in and started at least one game for Utah this season: quarterback Travis Wilson, linebacker Reshawn Hooker, offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi and punter Tom Hackett ... 19 players have caught passes for Utah this season and six players have completed passes (Wilson, Jordan Wynn, Jon Hays, Adam Schulz, DeVonte Christopher and Sean Sellwood).

OUTSIDE THE LINES

Jordan Wynn, who was only a junior in eligibility (due to an NCAA medical hardship extension) when he retired after the second game this season, has been named the new quarterbacks coach at Hawai'i. Wynn began the season as Utah's starting quarterback--his fourth season as the starter--before suffering his second-straight season-ending shoulder injury against Utah State ... Utah has never played in a game televised on FX ... Utah and CU are best known for their rivalry in skiing, which is an NCAA co-ed sport. Utah has won 10 NCAA ski championships to CU's 17. Utah finished second and Colorado was third at the 2012 NCAA Ski Championships.
