SAN DIEGO--The Utah football team is on the go today--its final day before the 2009 Poinsettia Bowl game with California.
A 6:45 a.m. wake-up call came for the developmental team, which ate breakfast before heading to San Diego State for a 9 a.m. lift. The travel squad caught some extra sleep--with its wake-up call coming at 9:15 a.m.
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham and Cal coach Jeff Tedford were the featured speakers at a press conference at the Omni Hotel later in the morning. Both coaches and their teams then headed to the aircraft carrier the USS Midway for a team luncheon.
Utah will take a walk-through at the stadium late this afternoon and come back to a pep rally in the team hotel at 5:30 p.m. PT.
