Morgan Scalley was one of three Utah A.P. All-Americans

The University of Utah football team continued its record-setting collection of All-America honors this week, with quarterback Alex Smith, offensive lineman Chris Kemoeatu, wide receiver Steve Savoy and free safety Morgan Scalley earning a place on several teams.
The Associated Press and Rivals.com released their All-America teams on Dec. 13 and Pro Football Weekly issued its team on Dec. 15. Smith and Kemoeatu were first-team All-America selections by Pro Football Weekly and outgoing Ute coach Urban Meyer was its Coach of the Year. Savoy was named to the periodical's honorable mention team. There was no second team. Smith, Kemoeatu and Scalley were all named to the A.P. second team. Kemoeatu and Savoy were Rivals.com second-teamers.
It has been a banner award year for the Utes. Prior to this fall, the most Utes named to recognized All-America teams in a single season was three, back in 1930.
