SALT LAKE CITY -
Utah running back Brandon Warfield, whose 173-yard rushing game against Utah State last Thursday propelled the Utes to a 40-20 victory, has been named the Mountain West Conference co-offensive player of the week. Warfield, who also scored a touchdown and averaged 5.2 yards per carry, shared the weekly award with tight end Daniel Coats of Brigham Young. It marked the third straight 100-yard game for Warfield, dating back to last season. He rushed for 121 yards in the first half against the Aggies and accounted for 85 percent of Utah's 202 total rushing yards.
