Aug. 24, 2005
SALT LAKE CITY -
With nine days remaining before the season-opening football game against Arizona on Sept. 2, the University of Utah is on track to break an all-time school record for most season tickets sold. Season ticket sales surpassed 21,000 on Wednesday for just the second time in school history--an increase of 1,300 from a year ago. The school is just 500 shy of the all-time record of 21,510 set when Rice-Eccles Stadium first opened back in 1998.
Good seats are still available on both a season and single-game basis and can be ordered online at www.Utahtickets.com, by phone (801-581-UTIX) or at the Rice-Eccles Stadium box office.
Student interest is also at an all-time high, especially for the MUSS, which now numbers 2,800 and is accepting new pledges every day.
