SALT LAKE CITY -
The University of Utah athletics department has been cleared to televise locally on KJZZ-14 its football games at Texas A&M and Colorado State. Both telecasts will be live. Utah plays at Texas A&M on Sept. 6 starting at 6 p.m. MDT. The Utah-CSU game time on Sept. 27 is yet to be determined, but will be at either 4:00 or 4:30 p.m. MDT.

The two KJZZ games raises the total number of televised Utah football games to date to four in 2003. Already booked are an ESPN appearance on Sept. 11 vs. California and an ESPN2 broadcast on Oct. 3 vs. Oregon.

KJZZ plans to televise all Ute football road games not taken by ESPN or ABC. In addition, KJZZ is the local station for all Mountain West Conference ESPN+Plus games. Utah is currently being considered for an ESPN+Plus broadcast of all of its league games other than the CSU contest.

KJZZ is now Channel 14 in the Salt Lake market for both cable and non-cable subscribers.
