DALLAS, Texas -- The Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) has announced the Outland Trophy and Bronco Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists for 2005.

University of Utah senior center Jesse Boone is among 36 players who have been nominated for consideration for the Outland Trophy. The Outland Trophy has been awarded to the nation's top interior offensive or defensive lineman since 1946. The winner is selected by the FWAA's All-America Committee, which selects the association's 25-man team and picks three Outland Trophy Finalists.

Steve Fifita is on the Outland and Nagurski Trophy Watch Lists.

Ute senior defensive lineman Steve Fifita is also on the Outland Watch List and is one of 50 defensive players who have been nominated for consideration for the Bronco Nagurski Trophy. The Nagurski Trophy has been awarded by the FWAA since 1993. The FWAA All-America committee selects the Bronco Nagurski winner from the association's 11-man All-America defensive team in late November. The FWAA also selects the Bronco Nagurski Defensive Player of the Week, beginning with the week of Sept. 3 and running through the middle of November. Each national player of the week will be added to the trophy's watch list throughout the season.
