Eric Weddle has earned preseason accolades from the Blue Ribbon College Yearbook.

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook has announced its Preseason All-Mountain West Conference team. Five University of Utah football players were included on the list. Ute defensive back Eric Weddle was named the Preseason MWC Defensive Player of the Year.
Joining Weddle on the Preseason All-MWC team from Utah were wide receiver Brian Hernandez, offensive lineman Tavo Tupola, defensive lineman Kelly Talavou and kick returner Brent Casteel.
Utah's five honorees was tied for most in the conference. TCU and BYU also each had five players included on the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook preseason all-conference team.
