LAST WEEK OF SPRING BALL
The Utah football team will hold three practices this week in preparation for the fifth-annual Red-White game on Saturday, April 21. Head coach
Kyle Whittingham will hold full practices Tuesday and Thursday from 3-5 p.m., although he's identified Thursday as a no-tackle practice. On Friday, the Utes won't even don pads for their short workout (4-5:15 p.m.).
RED-WHITE GAME SATURDAY
The fifth-annual Red-White game will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, April 21 starting at 1 p.m. It is free to the public and the players will sign autographs after the game.
UTE NOTES
Teams and coaches for the Red-White game will be selected on Wednesday ... Saturday's affair will be a full-scale game, minus kickoffs, kickoff returns and punt returns (all punts will be fair caught) ... The first two quarters of the Red-White game will be 12 minutes in length, with a normal game clock. Quarters three and four will feature a running clock and will last 10 minutes each. Steve Tate are two starters who will miss the spring game. Both are nursing sore shoulders ...
Kenape Eliapo and
Gabe Long have nailed down the two starting tackle positions after fending off competition from
Pauli Latu and
