SPRING CAMP NOTES

The Ute football team will conclude five weeks of spring ball with the sixth-annual Red-White game on Saturday, April 19 in Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game, which is free to the public, will start at 1 p.m. Parking is also free. Players will sign autographs after the game.

PRACTICES THIS WEEK

The Utes will practice three times leading up to the spring game, although tackling will only take place on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m.. On Thursday, the Utes will run through two hours (3-5 p.m.) of no tackle drills and they won't even don pads on Friday in a short one-hour tune-up (4:15-5:15 p.m.) for Saturday's game.

RED-WHITE GAME PLAN

Teams	            Selected on Wednesday, Apr. 16
Coaches	            Head and assistant coaches assigned to each team
1st & 2nd Quarters  12 minutes each, normal game clock
Halftime            3 minutes
3rd & 4th Quarters  10 minutes each, running clock

GAME DAY SCHEDULE

9:00 a.m.           Coaches clinic
11:00 a.m.          MUSS game
11:50 a.m.          Alumni game
12:45 a.m.          Utes begin warm-ups
1:00 p.m.           Spring Game
2:15 p.m.           Autographs

UTE NOTES

The Red-White game will be a full-scale game, minus kickoffs, kickoff returns and punt returns (all punts will be fair caught) ... A decision on whether the quarterbacks will be off limits to tacklers will be made later in the week ... Several starters will sit out of the game for precautionary reasons and to let the coaches observe some of the younger players in game-like conditions.
