WEEK THREE OF SPRING CAMP
The Utes are in their third week of spring drills. There is one practice and a scrimmage remaining this week. Both will be held at the McCarthey Practice Fields. Thursday's practice is scheduled for 3:15-5:15 p.m. The time for the scrimmage has changed: It will start at 8:30 a.m. and go for around 100 plays. All practices and scrimmages in the spring are open to the public.
RED-WHITE GAME
The third-annual Red-White game will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, April 23 starting at noon. It is free to the public and the players will sign autographs after the game. A pancake breakfast and a Muss flag football game will precede the Red-White game. The pancake breakfast costs $2 per person and food will be served from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Olympic Cauldron Park (the south plaza of Rice-Eccles Stadium). The Muss game will start at 11 a.m.
RED-WHITE FORMAT
The Red-White game will be consist of four 12-minute periods. The clock will stop in normal situations in the first half and the second half will feature a running clock. Offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig and defensive coordinator
Gary Andersen will serve as the head coaches at the Red-White game. Teams will be chosen next week.
SPRING NOTES
Promising H-back
Brent Casteel returned to practice on April 12, just eight days after arthroscopic knee surgery ...
Justin Walker will have his right knee scoped on April 14 and will miss the rest of spring ball. Walker moved back to wide receiver last week. He came to Utah as a wideout but moved to defensive back late last season ... Running back
