Utah Head Coach Kyle Whittingham
"I'm really proud of our guys and how they've responded the last three weeks. It's a disappointment that we didn't play well a time or two [earlier in the season], but now we seem to be developing a rhythm as a football team, not only as an offense."
"There were a lot of great performances tonight. We rushed for 224 yards and played very clean offensively. I don't think we were penalized on offense the entire game. We're doing things the right away offensively. We didn't turn the ball over often and had very few penalties. We're being physical at the line of scrimmage and running the ball. That's who we are. We did have the one turnover in the punt return game, which is a negative, but other than that, special teams did some good things. The defense was outstanding and they've been outstanding the entire season. They're at the top or near the top of most defensive statistical categories for a reason. They've been playing well. That's a great credit to our players and defensive coaching staff as well."
"It's great to be bowl eligible. We're 6-4 with two to go so the objective is to send our seniors out on a positive note and we're headed in that direction. We can't change anything we're doing. We have to keep working hard."
Utah quarterback Jon Hays
"With the defense we have, over 20 points is enough. Teams are going to have a hard time scoring three times on our defense. They had one drive and one field goal when the offense put them in a bad spot because of the fumble. We just have to keep going, putting up points is the key thing."
Utah linebacker Brian Blechen
"We were really studying and getting into our playbooks and it's showing up on the field. Everyone was doing their job. [Working with different position] is getting easier each week. I've been working with Eric [Rowe] back there and we're getting used to each other. It feels great getting that sixth win. The one thing we talked about was getting on a win streak."
Utah running back John White
"The coaches told me not to worry about conditions. At first it was a problem, but I got my feet together and made cuts."
"We got off the ball. Our offensive line wanted it more than [UCLA's] defensive line.
"It was weird because I bumped into [John Cullen] and he just grabbed me into the end zone. If he wasn't in the way, I'm pretty sure I would have scored easily."
"[The touchdown catch] was the craziest catch in the world. The [UCLA] defender was in my face so I couldn't see ball until the last minute. I just put my hands up and really focused on making the catch. I don't like dropping the ball at all. If I drop a ball, I'll cry about it. Catching the ball is a big deal to me."
Utah defensive back Conroy Black
"It feels great to be bowl eligible. We're finally playing like the team we thought we would be. Now, we just want to finish the season how we want to."
Utah offensive lineman John Cullen
At first I thought I helped [John White's run], but looking back at it, I probably just got in his way. I saw him so I thought I'd just try to pull him in [the end zone]."
