UTAH: Cornerback joined the Utes for spring ball after transferring from Hawaii.
PRIOR TO UTAH: Played three years at Hawaii, redshirting as a freshman in 2008 ... appeared in 12 games in 2009, tallying eight total tackles with a sack and a pass breakup ... also played in 12 games in 2010, finishing with 20 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble ... career-high three tackles (one sack) and a forced fumble vs. Charleston Southern ... played his last two years of high school ball at Judge Memorial HS (Utah), earning four varsity letters in football ... played his freshman season at Lancaster High (Calif.), earning all-CIF second-team honors as a specialist ... 2007 first-team all-state specialist as a senior at Judge HS ... 2007 Judge High team captain, MVP and Most Inspirational Player ...played safety, running back and returned punts and kicks, accumulating more than 1,100 all-purpose yards ... senior totals included 74 rushes for 780 yards and 13 touchdowns (three 100-yard games), 19 receptions for 361 yards and four TDs, 94 tackles and two interceptions, and six touchdown returns (four on punts and two on kickoffs) ... Judge won the 3A state championship in 2007 ... made the all-region team as a sophomore safety ... also played two years of baseball and three years of track at Judge Memorial, leading the baseball team to the 3A state championship game as a pitcher and left fielder ... ran on the state champion 4x100 meter and 4x400-meter relay teams ... state runner-up in the long jump two straight years.
