Five of 25 first-team selections are Utes.

UTAH: International rugby star walked on to the Utah team in the spring ... will contend for the starting job at running back, entering fall camp as one of three "co" starters.

HIGH SCHOOL: Did not play competitive sports until he was 17 years old ... played two years of football as a sophomore and junior at Davis HS (Calif.) in 2005 and 2006 ... all-conference ... captained the USA Rugby sevens in the 2009 World Games ... became the youngest player to participate in the Rugby World Cup in 2007 at age 19 ... played on the USA's 2008 U20 Junior World Cup team ... competed in the U19 Junior World Cup for Samoa in 2006 and 2007, and played on the 2007 men's seven's national team ... also played rugby for the French club Biarritz Olympique, San Francisco Golden Gate and Northern Virginia RFC ... led the Utah rugby club team to a win in the inaugural USA Sevens Collegiate Rugby Championship in 2010 ... also played basketball, participating in the U16 Junior Olympics Basketball Tournament in San Diego in 2004.
