Utah Basketball Television Schedule Finalized

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah men's basketball television schedule for the 2005-06 season has been finalized. KJZZ-TV 14 will air 10 Runnin' Ute games this season, giving Utah 16 televised games in all.

KJZZ-TV will produce seven Utah games locally and carry three more as part of the ESPN Regional Mountain West Conference "Game of the Week" package.

Utah's first game on KJZZ-TV will be its home game versus Utah State on Nov. 30 at 7:00 p.m. KJZZ-TV will also carry the Utes' game at Colorado on Dec. 7 at 7:00 p.m. During the conference season, KJZZ-TV will show three Runnin' Ute games as the Mountain West "Game of the Week" on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. MST. Those games are Utah at BYU on Jan. 7, versus TCU at home on Jan. 28, and at San Diego State on Feb. 11.

KJZZ-TV will locally produce five more of Utah's Mountain West games, including the conference opener against New Mexico in Salt Lake City on Jan. 4 at 7:00 p.m. and Utah's home match-up versus BYU on Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m. KJZZ-TV will also carry Utah's games at Wyoming on Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m., at UNLV on Feb. 22 at 8:30 p.m. MST, and the regular season finale against Wyoming in the Huntsman Center on March 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Six Utah games will be televised nationally, including three on ESPN and ESPN2. The Utes' match-up with Arizona from the Huntsman Center on Dec. 17 at 2:00 p.m. will be shown by ESPN. ESPN2 will show Utah's games at Air Force on Jan. 19 at 7:00 p.m. and at New Mexico on Feb. 4 at 4:00 p.m.

CSTV, which will become the new television home of the Mountain West Conference in 2006-07, will show Utah's game at Rice on Dec. 3. The tip-off time for that game has recently been moved to 2:00 p.m. MST. Fox Sport Net will air the Utes' contest versus Washington State at Key Arena in Seattle on Dec. 22 at 8:30 p.m. MST.
