The Utes opened MWC Tournament play with a 74-70 win over BYU on Thursday night in the quarterfinals. Utah closed out the regular season with a 79-70 win over Wyoming at home last Saturday.

Freshman center Luke Nevill (7-1, 250) is third on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg), and leads the way in rebounding (6.5 rpg) and blocked shots (26). Nevill is also shooting 54.6 percent from the field.
