Utah at Stanford - Quick Hits
• Utah is coming off a 64-46 loss at Cal on Thursday. For the second game in a row, the Utes struggled offensively, setting season-lows for points and field goal percentage.
• Over the last six games, Utah has held its opponents to 27.6 percent shooting from three-point range (35-of 127), but is a minus-47 on the glass (29.5-37.3).
• Utah leads the Pac-12 and ranks 33rd nationally by limiting its opponents to 39.0 percent shooting from the field. The Utes are also tops in the league by holding their opponents to only 62.2 points per game.
• Offensively, the Utes rank 17th nationally, tops in the Pac-12, in assisted basket percentage (63.0%). Utah is also the league leader in three-point field goal percentage (36.2%) and free throw percentage (75.1%) while ranking third in points per shot (1.08).

• The Cardinal also have a formidable frontcourt as Andy Powell ranks among the Pac-12 leaders in points (15.3) and rebounds (8.2). Teammate Josh Huestis is fourth in the league with 9.6 boards per game.
Last Time Out
Utah struggled offensively as it dropped a road contest at Cal, 64-46. Jordan Loveridge finished one point shy of his fourth double-double of the season for the Runnin’ Utes.
Loveridge’s 11 rebounds matched his best outing in league play as the freshman duplicated his performance at Arizona State. He was one of a few bright spots for the visitors, who set season lows in a number of categories ((points, field goals made, field goal percentage, three-pointers made, three-point percentage).
One week after scoring only 50 points at Colorado, the Utes shot only 29 percent from the floor in the loss to Cal. This was the lowest output offensively for Utah since scoring 41 points vs. Colorado last season in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
Dakarai Tucker continued his strong play this evening and has now averaged 7.0 points per game the last three contests. Glen Dean also had another solid outing vs. the Golden Bears and he finished the season averaging 8.0 points per game against Cal.
Last Meeting
Utah suffered its worst home loss in school history, 87-56 to Stanford. Justin Seymour led the Utes with 14 points and was the only player in double figures for Utah.
Renan Lenz and Jarred DuBois each finished with eight points apiece. Lenz also grabbed a career-high eight rebounds.
Stanford shot 50 percent from the floor and connected on 9-of-15 tries from beyond the arc. The Cardinal were also a +16 on the glass which led to 21 points in the paint.
John Gage made all four of his 3-point attempts and scored a career-high 19 points for Stanford while Chasson Randle added 17 points and eight rebounds. Josh Huestis chipped in 13 points and seven boards for the Cardinal.
Washburn Working Way Up Charts
Jason Washburn has notched double-doubles in four conference games and is averaging 13.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. He currently ranks ninth in the league in rebounding, fourth in field-goal percentage and sixth in blocks.
Washburn is closing his Utah career with a flourish, scoring in double figures during 15 of the last 18 contests. He has now scored 988 points in his 117 career games. He is currently averaging matching his points per game total of last season when he averaged a career-best clip of 11.4 points per contest.
Washburn is connecting on 57.6 percent of his attempts for the season after 60 percent shooting the last two weeks.
Loveridge Making Impact
Loveridge has emerged as one of the top freshmen in the Pac-12 Conference. Despite this being his first year, Loveridge is currently one of the league leaders in scoring (11.6) and rebounding (6.8).
The local product is fourth among conference newcomers in scoring and second in rebounding. The freshman poured in a career-best 24 points vs. Cal State Northridge and his points per game average ranks him sixth all-time for a Utah freshman, behind such greats as Keith Van Horn and Andrew Bogut.
Taylor Turning it Up
Brandon Taylor has come on strong for Utah during the conference season, scoring a career-high 21 points at Oregon State. Prior to that, the freshman had scored in double figures during three-straight games (Washington, Stanford and Cal), averaging 14.0 ppg during that span.
Taylor led all scorers with a career-high 19 points and six assists in the win over the previously-unbeaten Huskies in Seattle. The freshman also led the team in steals as the Runnin’ Utes captured their first road win since joining the Pac-12.
He currently ranks seventh in the league in three-point field goal percentage (.397) and is also averaging 3.2 assists the last six games.
DuBois Getting it Done for Utes
DuBois has scored 20 or more in four games this season and leads the Utes in scoring at 11.8 per contest. The senior transfer from Loyola Marymount has impressed in his first year with the club and recently finished with a team-high 16 points against No. 9 Arizona.
He has scored in double figures 14 times and the game against the ‘Cats marked the first time DuBois led the team in scoring since notching 18 vs. USC (1/12/13).
DuBois has been one of the league’s top sharpshooters, ranking fifth in the Pac-12 in three-point shooting percentage (.401). He also leads the conference in free-throw percentage (87.5).
DuBois has been a steadying influence for the Ute backcourt as well, ranking sixth in the league in assist-to-turnover ratio. He also rates as one of the league leaders in total helpers (3.0 apg), tops among the Utes.
Dynamic Dean
Dean scored double digits in Utah’s first four games this season, and is currently averaging six points per game after scoring 10 in a contest vs. Cal. It was his sixth double-digit outing of the season and first since Dec. 8 at BYU.
Dean is also second on the Utes with 64 assists and has notched five or more assists four times, including against No. 9 Arizona.
Bachynski Beats Up Bengals
Sophomore Dallin Bachynski racked up 22 points and 16 rebounds against Idaho State for his second double-double in his first three games as a Ute.
Bachynski’s 20-and-15 double-double was Utah’s first since Nevill had 23 points and 15 boards against Wyoming in the semifinals of the same tournament.
Utes on TV
Utah is 10-14 this season in televised contests and it will play all but three of their games on TV this season.
The Runnin’ Utes will appear on the Pac-12 Network a total of 23 times in the regular season. Utah will also play on ESPNU three times and make one appearance on FSN.
