SALT LAKE CITY - Chris Jackson, a senior center on the Utah men's basketball team, has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII second team.
Jackson has already earned his undergraduate degree in chemical & fuels engineering with a 3.67 grade point average. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
Jackson is having his most productive season on the court. The native of Los Alamos, N.M., is averaging 7.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He is also shooting a 76.5 percent from the field to lead the Mountain West Conference. Jackson has started 17 games and has played in all 21 this season, averaging 17.9 minutes per game.
