Salt Lake City (AP) - Richard Chaney had a team high 20 points in Utah's 98-63 win over Montana-Western Wednesday night.
Utah shot 63 percent from the floor in the first half to build a 48-30 lead, and followed it with 66 percent shooting in the second half to defeat the Bulldogs.
Montana-Western was not as successful shooting only 44 percent from the field.
Montana-Western guard Matt Luedtke had a game high 24 points. The Bulldogs tried to stay in the game with 3-pointers, as they almost tripled the Utes' four with their 11.
Andrew Bogut had 10 points, six rebounds and a game-high three blocked shots.
Bryant Markson finished with 15 points, while forward Justin Hawkins finished with 11 points and six rebounds for Utah.
