Utah is now 6-0 all-time against current members of the Big South Conference. The Runnin' Utes are 4-0 against High Point, 1-0 against VMI and 1-0 vs. Winthrop.
Luke Nevill reached double digits for the 46th time in his career and the second time in two games this season by the end of the first half. He finished the first half with 10 points, shooting 3-of-6 from the field and 4-of-7 from the free-throw line.
Nevill recorded his first double-double of the season. He finished with 18 points and 10 boards.
High Point's Arizona Reid scored the first points of the game. It was the first time Utah had trailed this season.
After shooting .512 from three-point range last season, Shaun Green hit his first triple of the season at the 2:00 mark of the first half, giving Utah a 30-25 advantage.
After going 0-for-4 in the first half, Johnnie Bryant hit his next four shots, including two 3-pointers. Bryant finished with 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range. Bryant's four makes all came in a span of 2:07. During that span, Utah increased its lead from 52-38 to 62-43.
Bryant scored in double figures for the second time in two games and the 46th time in his career.
Kim Tilie (4-for-4) and Carlon Brown (3-for-3) were both perfect from the field.
Tillie scored in double digits for the first time in his career. He finished with 12 points and was also 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
High Point's Arizona Reid (19) and Mike Jefferson (17) combined to tally 36 of the Panthers' 64 points. Utah held seven of the 10 HPU players who entered the game to five points or less.
