Trevor Jameson is in his ninth year as an assistant athletic trainer at Utah. His primary responsibility is working with the Runnin' Ute basketball team.
Before coming to Utah, Jameson spent four years as an assistant athletic trainer and instructor at DePauw University in Indiana. He assisted the head athletic trainer in the daily operations and administration of DePauw's athletic training program, providing care to over 500 athletes in 19 intercollegiate sports. Jameson was the head trainer for baseball, cross country, women's basketball, tennis, field hockey and volleyball, and assisted with men's basketball, golf, swimming, track & field, softball and soccer. In addition to working with DePauw athletes, Jameson assisted in the development of the department's CAAHEP accredited athletic training education program and provided clinical instruction for students in the program. He also served as the editor of the DePauw sports medicine website.
Prior to his appointment at DePauw, Jameson worked as a graduate assistant trainer at Indiana State University. He was the assistant trainer for men's basketball and training room supervisor at ISU. Jameson received his master's degree in athletic training from Indiana State in August of 1996 and earned the Outstanding Professional Award for his graduating class.
Jameson received his bachelor's degree in physical education and athletic training from Brigham Young University in 1995. He worked in the Cougar sports medicine department for over two years. Jameson was certified by the National Athletic Trainer's Association in 1995 and is a licensed CPR and first aid instructor.
The 36-year-old Utah native graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1987. Jameson and his wife, Angie, have five children: Tui (10), Moevanu (9), Malia (8), Tavita (6) and Masina (4).
