FORT WORTH - The Utah baseball team remains undefeated at the Mountain West Conference Tournament, and will face No. 4 seed San Diego State tonight at 7:00 p.m. (CT) at Lupton Stadium.
Utah's Andrew Wilding (RHP, 2-5, 6.45 ERA) will match up with San Diego State's Jon Berger (RHP, 4-5, 5.13 ERA).
The game will be televised by CBS College Sports and The Mtn., while audio and live stats are available at UtahUtes.com.
The Utes upset No. 10 ranked and No. 1 seeded TCU last night, 9-7. It is the first time in tournament history that a No. 6 seed has beaten a No. 1 seed. A six-run fourth inning that saw C.J. Cron and Cooper Blanc each drive in two runs lifted Utah to the win, while Brian Budrow got his fifth win on the mound and Greg Krause picked up his fourth save.
San Diego State is also 2-0 in the tournament after defeating UNLV, 12-1, on Tuesday and upsetting No. 2 seed New Mexico, 2-1, yesterday behind the arm of Stephen Strasburg.
Early in the day, BYU will take on New Mexico in the first elimination game at 11:00 a.m. (CT) with the winner taking on TCU at 3:00 p.m.
