Starting pitcher Eric King (Sr., Orem, Utah) was solid again last week. He wasn't involved in the decision in his Saturday start against UNLV, leaving the game with the score tied at 3-3. But he went 6 1/3 innings, allowing just two earned runs on six hits. King is the Utes' leader in earned-run average (2.79), wins (three), innings pitched (42.0), strikeouts (32) and opponent batting average (.242). He has not allowed a home run this season.
