SALT LAKE CITY -- Today's University of Utah baseball home-opener vs. Gonzaga University has been canceled. Field conditions at Franklin Covey Field have forced the cancellation of this contest.

Utah and Gonzaga were scheduled for a two-game series. The Utes and Bulldogs will now play a single game Tuesday at 1 p.m. That contest will take place at Ute Field on the University of Utah campus. The Utes will enter Tuesday's contest after winning two of three at Southern Utah over the weekend. The Utes have an overall record of 4-12. Gonzaga is 10-10 overall. The Bulldogs dropped two of three at BYU over the weekend.
