We've got our final 'Getting to Know' today, with the Utes scheduled to play their first games next weekend. Today's spotlight is freshman Lars Lofgren, who was the 4A MVP as a senior at Skyline High School.
What is your favorite baseball memory?
A walk-off hit when I was 10 years old playing for the Marlins.
What is your favorite sport besides baseball?
What do you like to do when you are not playing baseball?
Boating, hang out with friends.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
Close to home, have been a Utah fan my whole life. The team is great and they play in the Pac-12.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
Dad, he is always there for me, is a great example of someone I can look up to.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
The city and being able to go out and have fun.
What do you like best about Coach Kinneberg?
His willingness to help you and look out for you.
What are your goals for this year?
To contribute to the team and help the team anywhere that I can.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
Undeclared, I want to be a doctor.
