The Utes will host the Utah Inaugural meet this weekend.

The Utah cross country program welcomes five in-state teams, as it hosts the Utah Inaugural on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City. The women's teams will kick things off, running a 5K beginning at 9:00 a.m. The men's teams will race an 8K starting at 9:40 a.m. Several of the schools are sending split teams to race.
Rose Park Golf Course is located at 1386 Redwood Road. The public is welcome free of charge, and parking is available in the clubhouse parking lot at the course.

Quoting Head Coach Brian Appell:
"We're really excited to host the first meet since I became head coach," states Head Coach Brian Appell. "The kids should be rested and should do well. For some of our athletes, it will be their last chance to qualify for the conference championships."
The University of Utah women's cross country team finished the Arizona State Meet on Friday, Oct. 10. In addition to Utah and Arizona State, the meet featured athletes from Arizona, Long Beach State and Hawaii. Utah finished behind ASU and the Arizona for third place.
The Utes had a successful race with three runners finishing within the top 25 runners in the race. Elise Greenwood led the team with a ninth-place finish. She was followed by Nellie Hammons at 12th, Jennifer Brusch at 15th, Jennie Haertel at 27th and Andrea Davidson at 31st.
"The team competed well, but they were a little too conservative during the first mile of the race," said Head Coach Brian Appell. "They were unable to make up the distance by the end of the race."
