Utes compete in their first 6k race of the season |

THIS WEEK The Utes will travel to Palo Alto, Calif. for the 34th edition of the Stanford Invitational on Saturday Sept. 29. The 6k race will be held on the Stanford Golf Course. The start time is set for 4:48 p.m. PT.
LAST WEEK The Utes had last week off. In their last competition, they took fourth at the three-mile Montana State Invite on Sept.15.
UTE NOTES The Stanford Invite is a 6k race. It's the first 6k race of the year and will feature teams from across the country. The rest of the races this season for the Utes will be 6k runs.
The 6000 meter race will begin at 4:48 p.m. The Utes that will be participating in this race will be Lauren Lewis, Rebecca Mackelprang, Alyssa Abbott, Kellie Anderson, Janett Ern, Stephanie Skoreyko, Alexis Davis, and Lauren Endersen.
Junior Chelsea DiGrazia will compete in her first race of the season in the 4000 meter race which will begin at 5:42 p.m.
Directions to the Stanford Golf Course from Highway 101: Exit on Embarcadero Road West and follow the sign to Stanford University. Cross El Camino Real (the street name will change to Galvez Street). Turn right onto Campus Drive West. Follow the signs to the parking lot.

"This is our first 6k race of the season and we need to approach it with the same aggressiveness as we would a 5k race," says head coach Kyle Kepler. "This is a great chance to race against non-region squads to see how we compare to teams across the country."
