SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's cross country team will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., to compete at Colorado State's Hughes Stadium Saturday. CUS's Cross Country Classic is a 5k race and is set to start at 9:30 a.m. MST.

Last in Motion
The Utes were last seen at the Utah State Open in Logan, Utah on August 30. Senior powerhouse Chelsea DiGrazia earned a first-place finish with a 17:57.2 time to open up her season.

The team finished third overall with 57 points in their season opener with top 5 times totaling 1:32:44.7. Utah State came out on top with 32 points and top 5 times totaling 1:30:47.9. Weber State came in second with 38 points and a top 5 total of 1:31:18.0.

The Utes decided to take the last week off in order to maintain a healthy team.

Coach Kep's Thoughts
"We are feeling a little healthier and had a great workout last Friday and a good morning run on Saturday in Park City," said head coach Kyle Kepler. "We are excited to run on a course we haven't run on and compete against the defending Mountain West Conference champions."

"We have our hands full, but it is early and everyone is feeling themselves out and everyone else. Ultimately we're looking for individual improvement. We're looking to have our top five finish closer together; within 30 seconds is our goal. If our second through fifth can bunch up and come in together that would be a big step in the direction we want to go."
