At the inaugural Pac-12 Conference Championships, the University of Utah women's track and field team tied for tenth place with 21 points. Senior Brianna LeRoy led the way capturing nine points for the Utes.

Becoming the first Utah athlete to compete in a running event at the Pac-12 Conference Championships, junior Amanda Mergaert had the day off to a great start as she qualified for the final round in the 1500m.

Currently in sixth place with two points following the multi events, the University of Utah women's track and field team gets set to continue action with the running and throwing events at the inaugural Pac-12 Conference Championships on Saturday. Getting things started will be the women's hammer throw at 10 a.m. PST at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
