COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--The Mountain West Conference released its spring all-academic team today. Among those honored, were 16 student-athletes from the Ute track and field team. To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, while being a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
"Our 16 athletes that were honored epitomize the meaning of the word student-athlete. They have achieved success both in the classroom and on the track," said Head Track and Field Coach Lisa Archer.
