Suzie Vozarova leads Utes with second-place performance in the women's heptathlon.

PROVO, Utah- Freshman Suzie Vozarova wraps up her first career heptathlon with a third-place performance on the second day of the BYU Robison Invitational on Thursday.
"I was very happy to see that Suzie not only set several personal records, but showed great consistency in her first ever heptathlon," Utah assistant coach Tapio Kuusela said. "It was a pretty good sign of the improvements that she has made throughout this season."
Entering the final three events of the women's heptathlon, Vozarova was in second place.
In the opening event of the second day, Vozarova finished the high jump fourth with a mark of 15-10.50 feet. She followed that performance, setting a personal record in the javelin with a throw of 91-7.50 feet for third. Vozarova finished the day with an outdoor best 800m time of 2:55.46 earning fourth.
Vozarova finished tied for second place with a career best 4,092 points. Her performance ranks 10th all time in school history.
Throughout the two days of the heptathlon, Vozarova set personal records in five events and total points with 4,092.
The third day of the BYU Robison Invitational will get underway on Friday at 11 a.m. beginning with the women's hammer throw.
