The throwing squad had a strong meet, dominating the hammer, shot put and discus. Junior Vanessa Mortensen led the way by taking gold in the hammer throw with 60.50m. Her mark is not only a new personal record, but also a new school record and Danish national record for the Fredensborg, Denmark native.

"The coaching staff was confident that I would be able to break the record this season, but I think they were also surprised with today's outcome. I'm very proud and excited to, once again, break this record and I hope to continue this success throughout the remainder of the season."
