Eight Utah swimming & diving student-athletes have been selected as Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2009-10 academic year, the league announced this week. Additionally, Utah placed 19 swimming & diving student-athletes on the Mountain West Conference Academic All-Conference team for the spring semester.

The Pacific-10 Conference announced today that the University of Utah has accepted an invitation to join the Conference as its 12th member. The Utes and the University of Colorado, which accepted an invitation to join the Pac-10 last week, are the Conference's newest members since 1978.
