Evan Castro is named MWC Men's Swimmer of the Week. Castro was the third Ute to win the award.

SALT LAKE CITY- Both Kristen Kaiser and Evan Castro earned the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for their performances against the Florida State Seminoles.
Kaiser, a St. Louis, Mo., native won the 400-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle events in 4:30.23 and 5:02.91, respectively, in a dual meet against Florida State. This is the second time this year Kaiser has been voted swimmer of the week, she also garnered the award on Nov. 6.
Castro, a Redlands, Calif., native was a winner in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.20) and was part of the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:33.61) team in a dual meet against Florida State. Castro is the third different Ute to be named swimmer of week this year.
This is the second consecutive week that both men's and women's MWC Swimmer of the Week honors were awarded to Utah swimmers in the same week.
