Sophomore Sterling Richards was named MWC Diver of the Week Nov. 10, after winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter board events against UNLV.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Sophomore-diver Sterling Richards was named the MWC Diver of the Week Nov. 10, 2004 after his performance against MWC-rival UNLV. This marks the first time this season Richards has been honored, and the third for his career.
The Woods Cross, Utah native won first-place finishes in the 1-meter and the 3-meter board events in Utah's meet against UNLV. He won the 1-meter event with a score of 289.43, which was 77.18 points ahead of the second-place finisher. In the 3-meter, Richards scored 265.63 for the victory.
This marks the second straight meet that Richards has won both board events. Against Notre Dame, Richards swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter events with scores of 308.10 and 322.87 respectively.
Richards will be back in action this Friday and Saturday against the University of Denver. The meet times are set for 5 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday. All times are MST.
