SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah swimming and diving teams have placed 13 women and eight men on the 2003 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
Honored with 3.8 GPAs or better were freshmen Meghan Demchuk and Amber Walker of the women's team, and sophomore Jorge Amorim and freshman Tanner Folster of the men's team.
