Ski Team Recognized For 2003 NCAA Championship

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah's 2003 National Championship ski team has been recognized by the NCAA for its recent title run. The NCAA will honor Utah by displaying a banner in the Hall of Champions, located in the Indianapolis area. The banner will be on exhibit for nearly one year before being given to the University of Utah.

In addition to the traditional recognition, the University will receive in the Hall of Champions, new NCAA Corporate Champion Pontiac has developed a first-time ever "Traveling Trophy" to recognize all Divisions I, II and III NCAA Champions. The "trophy", a custom painted Pontiac vehicle featuring the logos of all champions, will travel with the new NCAA Beyond the Game Tour presented by CBS Sports to major events and some NCAA Championships.
 

 



The University of Utah ski team is hopeful to make another run at the title next season.
