RENO, Nev. - Behind strong finishes from Even Sletten, Ben Fick and Annelies Cook in the freestyle races, Utah finished sixth at the RMISA Championships.

Sletten and Fick finished 12th and 13th, respectively in the 15-km freestyle. Sletten clocked in with a time of 36:54.8 while Fick finished in 36:55.2. Ian Havlick was Utah's third scorer in 21st (37:54.5). Also skiing was Tom Smith in 26th (38:15.1) and Rolf Figi in 28th (38:38.8).

Cook led the women with an 11th-place run with a time of 30:52.7 in the 10-km free. Zoe Roy placed 15th in 31:12.0 and Devon Spika came in 24th (32:30.8). Parker Tyler crossed the line 26th in 32:51.6 and Ingvild Flatland rounded out the Utah skiers in 30th (33:49.9).

Utah finished sixth with 444 points. New Mexico won the meet with 565 points, followed by Colorado (539), Nevada (485), Denver (483) and Alaska-Anchorage (447).

Although the Utes qualified a full team for the NCAA Championships, the list of those competing will not be released until early next week.

The NCAA Championships begin on March 11th in Rumford and Newry, Maine.
