2011: Served as an alternate at the NCAA Championships, but did not compete due to team limits ... finished in the top 20 in all eight races she competed in ... turned in an eighth-place finish in the 5-km classical at the Utah Invitational ... placed 12th in the 10-km freestyle and 18th in the 5-km classical race at New Mexico ... took 13th place in both the 5-km classical and 21-km freestyle at Denver.
2010: NCAA qualifier, placing 22nd in the 15-km freestyle and 34th in the 5-km classic ... best meet was the New Mexico Invite, finishing 14th in the 5-km classic while placing 15th in the 10-km freestyle ... also was strong at the Western Regional, finishing 16th in the 15-km freestyle while placing 17th in the 5-km classic ... eight top-20 finishes ... MWC Scholar-Athlete.
2009: Redshirt ... had four top-10 finishes at the U.S. Junior National Championships, including a third-place finish in the 3x5 relay and a fourth-place finish in the 10-km freestyle.
Before Utah: Qualified for junior nationals three years (2006-08) ... finished in the top 15 at junior nationals and qualified for third in her region... ranked seventh in her age class in the nation for the 2007-08 season ... competed for the Bogus Basin Nordic Team ... named the Most Inspirational on her team.
Personal: Daughter of Andy and Margaret Kemp ... one sister, Julia ... graduated high school with honors ... also played volleyball in high school ... majoring in Elementary Education.
